This morning, the school district received a telephoned threat. Law enforcement has been notified and are responding, and we will update parents and the public as events unfold. At the present, as a precaution, all campuses are on lockdown which means no parents may check out students; we hope that this will be lifted soon on the advice of law enforcement. However, please understand that the circumstances surrounding this threat cause us to believe that it will be determined to be unsubstantiated. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Nothing is more important than the safety of our students and staff, and the security of our campuses.

Crossett School District's Theme for February is "Spark the Heart/Kindness." Teachers and students have been challenged to seek opportunities to affirm and celebrate one another. Mrs. Wolcott's 2nd grade class is intentionally focusing on kindness as a part of keeping their Social Contract a living document in their room this month. Students write on a link an affirmation of someone who shows kindness and then add it to the chain. Their goal is to make it around the room by the end of the month. We know they can do it!
