Not all heroes wear capes - sometimes they carry mops.💙 CSD School Resource Officer, Officer Black, jumped right in to help when he saw a need. We're so thankful for the many ways he supports our school family every day.

Student: "I thought you were a police officer."
Officer Black: "I do whatever is needed."

NEW ARKANSAS LAW: "Bell to Bell, No Cell" Starting with the 2025-2026 school year, all Arkansas public schools - including Crossett School District - will enforce the "Bell to Bell, No Cell" Act (SB 142/Act 122).

What's Changing?
* Personal cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, laptop, and any device that sends/receives data must stay powered off and stored all day.
* Students cannot be in possession of these devices. The devices must be stored in a backpack or purse all day while on campus.

What does in possession include:
* Holding the device
* Carrying it in a pocket or on their person
* Checking the device while stored in a backpack or purse at any time during the school day.

Why?
This state law supports focused, distraction-free learning. Schools not enforcing it may face penalties.

How Families Can Help:
* Talk with your child about expectations.
* Support a smooth transition to device-free learning.
