
The Crossett School District was represented well at the Crossett Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet on Tuesday, January 28. And a special congratulations to Barry Burchfield for being awarded The Ambassador of the Year Award.




Monday, February 3: There will be no school for Crossett School District Students. This day is reserved for our families to visit with teachers to discuss students' progress and next steps. We look forward to seeing our families and to continue our collaboration.


Crossett High School Choirs proudly present "Matilda: The Musical" in February 2025. Please make plans to attend one of these performances in support of our Eagles.


On Friday, January 24, the city of Crossett and the Crossett School District celebrate Officer Black as the Ashley County Officer of the Year through Attorney General Tim Griffin's Office in a surprise ceremony.
A special thank you to Senator Ben Gilmore, Rachel Ellis, and Anushree Jumde from the Attorney General Tim Griffin's office, Yancy Kyle from Congressman Westerman's office, Commander Wallace and the entire American Legion Post 111, CHS School Board President Debra Barnes, CSD Superintendent Anthony Boykin, the City of Crossett and Mayor Marshall, and all the students who came to celebrate Officer Black, recognize his achievement, and thank him for his services.




Thank you to our bus drivers and maintenance workers and staff who rise early in the mornings to prepare and fully inspect the buses for our children. And on these very cold mornings, they are awake even earlier to warm up the buses before transporting our students.

Crossett Eagles Community: Here are the Valentine's Day Deliveries for Crossett School District. All deliveries will be accepted only on Friday, February 14. Please carefully read the guidelines. All deliveries must follow these guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.


January is School Board Appreciation Month. We would like to highlight two of our members. Our President Debra Barnes has been elected to a full term on the ASBA board, has attained 177.5 hours of training, and has earned the Master Board Member Award. Also, CSD Board Member Mrs. Jenny Allen has earned 50 hours of training. Thank you both for your dedication to our students and community. Thank you to all of our board members for your hard work!

Attention Senior Class 2025 and families: There will be a Financial Aid Night at CHS on January 23. This is important for students and families who need information about FAFSA.


Due to extremely cold temperatures continuing to cause unsafe travel conditions and the potential for heavy snow and a wintry mix overnight, the Crossett School District will be closed Friday, January 10th. If necessary, the district will provide an additional update Sunday
afternoon regarding school on Monday. Please stay safe and warm!
*** Please be advised that the state no longer provides AMI Days (Alternative Methods of Instruction). Friday's inclement weather day will be made up on Friday, May 23, 2025.


Due to the expected timing of the winter weather and out of an abundance of caution, Crossett School District will dismiss students and buses at 1pm today, Thursday, January 9th. We will continue to monitor the weather this afternoon to make a decision regarding school closures for Friday. This announcement will be made Thursday evening. We will post the information on our social media account and district web pages. Additionally, we will conduct callouts/SMS texts for our Crossett School District community.

Crossett Basketball games for January 9 and 10 have been cancelled. Please make plans to come out next week to cheer on our Eagles and Lady Eagles!
