This policy will be reviewed regularly to consider current COVID-19 numbers and possible modifications to the policy.

Earlier today, the Crossett School District, Crossett Police Department, and Ashley County Sheriff’s Department were made aware of a social media post with a possible threat against CMS on Monday. This post did not mention Crossett, only CMS. There are other schools with the abbreviation of CMS in the area and state, and some are also in possession of this post and conducting their own investigation. The name given in the post is not a student at Crossett School District and is not known by school officials or local law enforcement. School officials and local law enforcement are continuing to investigate. They are working with state officials and other law enforcement agencies to find the source of the post. Additional law enforcement will be present tomorrow and as necessary in the following days.
