We would like to congratulate Mrs. Kristi Clanton-McDuff and the CHS JAG program on receiving a $34,000 TANF grant to use for the program! JAG is a program at CHS for seniors to promote job and work skills (Jobs for America's Graduates). TANF stands for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and was founded to keep families together by providing job skills, resources and assistance to family leaders. This grant will help fund Career Day and also to help pay student salaries as they intern for various jobs around the community. Look for an article about the grant in our monthly newsletter for December written by Journalism student Hannah Diffie.
