Family Game Night will be next Tuesday, October 14, from 6:00-7:00 PM in the CES gym. Students and family members will get to play games, win prizes, and have the choice to purchase food from the Pizza Trailer or La Rosa Lindas. There will also be prize drawings for Wal-Mart gift cards! If you would like to earn ten extra entries to win a Wal-Mart gift card, please attend the Retention & Annual Title 1 meeting at 5:30 pm in the CES cafeteria.

Student artwork displayed in the hallways of CES makes the school environment vibrant, welcoming, and student-centered. Students' voices and perspectives are important to our community. CES scholars stay mentally focused during transitions by using the time to review literacy skills with these fun, engaging activities. Each grade level receives daily clues to guess the mystery letter or word. Kindergarten is working on letters, 1st grade is working on vocabulary words, and 3rd & 4th are working on morphology. Crossett School District would like to say THANK YOU to our Eagles for participating in the Freestyle Fiddle ornament decoration competition. We appreciate their time and hard work in representing the Crossett community through their creativity. We also want to thank our community judges for your help! Our three designs that will be submitted to the state are posted here: Connor Carlson (3rd grade), Katie Noble (7th grade), and Anna Floyd (11th grade).

CONGRATULATIONS to the 2025-2026 CES 4th grade Leadership Team. This evening, the selected students were officially inducted as members. Families were invited to learn more about the organization and the opportunities these young leaders have for making a positive impact on their campus and in the Crossett community. CES 4th grade scholars have been learning about the human heart in their Science class and reading about hearts in literacy. Today, CES was honored to host members of ACMC to further discuss the human heart: naming the parts of the heart (students were excited to share their knowledge), learning about what is healthy and not healthy for their hearts, and there was time for Q & A. The lesson was completed with a special gift: a heart pop-it! Thank you ACMC for investing in our scholars!

Attention Crossett Eagles! Would you like to participate in an opportunity to design an ornament that represents your community? Here is your chance! Crossett School District will submit three designs (K-4, 5-8, 9-12). If your design is chosen at the state level, it will be displayed on the State Capitol Holiday Tree in Little Rock.
