CMS Awards Assemblies
On May 5th, 6th grade students participated in a STEAM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Students went through stations that included building a roller coaster, making a bottle car, creating a hand, making a lung model, talking with UAM-CTC Student Services about electricity, and view a presentation from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission about fisheries and wildlife.

Our 7th grade Honors English students were thrilled to welcome a special guest on Thursday and Friday—Judge Robert Gibson. He worked closely with students as they prepared for their roles as lawyers and witnesses in our upcoming mock trial. Judge Gibson offered expert guidance on crafting compelling opening and closing statements, conducting effective witness examinations, and delivering confident performances.
We’re incredibly grateful to Judge Gibson for generously sharing his time and expertise and helping make this experience even more meaningful and memorable for our students.

Crossett Bands Spring Concert will be held Thursday, May 1. This year's concert is themed around a night at the movies. Doors open at 5:45 pm with the show starting at 6:00 pm.
Step into the courtroom drama of The Outsiders! Our 7th Grade Honors English students will bring Ponyboy, Johnny, and the rest of the Greasers and Socs to life as they present a thrilling Mock Trial inspired by S.E. Hinton's classic novel. Join us for an action-packed morning where loyalty, justice, and the true meaning of "staying gold" are put to the test.

Our seventh graders celebrated a fantastic victory today with a pizza party for winning March Madness! 🏆 This friendly competition between the seventh and eighth grades challenged students to complete the most iReady Reading and iReady Math lessons at proficiency.
And the results? Seventh grade took the win by a landslide! 🍕👏 Let’s keep up the amazing work!
