Water Bottle Update
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Starting Monday, October 19, every Monday will be a Virtual Learning day for ALL CHS students. The school busses will not run their regular routes. If students choose to attend school on campus on Mondays, they will not be in their traditional classroom setting. Breakfast and lunch will still be provided for ALL students.

FAFSA night has been rescheduled to Tuesday Oct. 27th in order to have reps from higher education to help families with the FAFSA application process. The time is still 5:30-8:30.

FAFSA NIGHT: Seniors and parents, CHS will host its first FAFSA Night for the 2020-2021 school year on Tuesday, October 20th from 5:30 to 8:30. There will be a FAFSA presentation at 5:45 followed by a time for families to complete their FAFSA while at the high school. Individuals from higher education institutions will be on site to help with this process. We will meet in the CHS cafeteria and will observe social distancing guidelines while here. Attendees are asked to please wear a mask or appropriate face covering in order to enter the building. Participants will need their financial information from 2019 and their 2020 tax return if one was filed. Attendees names will be placed in a drawing for a prize to be held at the conclusion of the meeting.

GEORGIA PACIFIC EMPLOYEES CHILDREN'S SCHOLARSHIP: 11th grade children of GP employees must take the PSAT on Wed, Oct. 14 in order to apply for this scholarship. The cost is $17 and the deadline to register for the exam is Tues, Oct. 13 at noon. Be present at CHS by 8:00.

Steve Lochala & Steve Riva from the American Legion Post 111, in Crossett, assisted with a flag ceremony today at CHS. The FFA Officers and sponsor Sammy Cox folded, unfolded, lowered & raised a new flag. Mrs. Wanda Harris and Officer Robert Black were instrumental in planning this event.
