School supplies for students Pre-k through 4th grade have been donated by Georgia Pacific and the Kids In Need Foundation. One bag of supplies per student will be available to pick-up when getting AMI packets next week. The first 100 AMI packets picked up will get to take their donated school supplies home in a Crossett School District Eagle drawstring bag. Pick-ups will be available from 8am-3pm Monday through Thursday at both CLC and CES campuses.
Attn. CLC and CES Parents/ Guardians: Beginning Monday April 20th at 8:00am, the new and FINAL AMI packets will be ready to pick up. We are extremely proud of our CES Robotics Team! With only two months to build their robots and practice the game, they did an outstanding job in their first tournament. Thank you to the parents and volunteers who were able to help everything run so smoothly. Next up: Lake Village tournament on February 1.

Congratulations to Katelyn Richards for winning first place in the SEARK Reading Council’s Why I Love Arkansas Young Writer’s Contest. Katelyn was honored last night at the SEARK meeting in Monticello. Katelyn is a 4th grader in Mrs. Shada Hamilton’s class, and her winning essay was entitled, “The Crescent Hotel Experience”.
In an effort to ensure the safety of our students while attending after school events, we want to remind you of our Handbook policy which states that preschool children and students in kindergarten through sixth grade must be accompanied by an adult when attending athletic events, band or choir concerts, or any other extracurricular activities. The safety of our students is of utmost importance to us and we thank you for your support of this policy.

HURRICANE RELIEF! CES is taking donations of new and unused blankets and socks (any size), as well as bottles of water in an effort to help with hurricane relief programs.
Don't forget! Reading for Education booklets are due back tomorrow, Tuesday Sept. 19th.
