New! The Scientifically Research-Based Scholastic READ 180 Instructional Model for Struggling Readers in Crossett School District

Crossett School District provides READ 180 teachers at Crossett Middle School and Crossett High school with professional development and ongoing in-classroom support to implement this model of differentiated instruction. Teachers have attended two full days so training in the fall and are supported monthly with district level and scholastic coaching visits. READ 180 Specialist teachers: Beth Currie, Rachel Gasaway, Jessie Goodwin, Cheryl O’Neal, Sirl Wright, and Phillip Baxter.

CSD administration demonstrates the importance of READ 180 by setting clear policies and procedures for using data to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Our students will experience highly engaging software, guided instruction, and independent reading that will hasten their learning. Data trends indicate accelerated growth is not only possible, but highly likely when the program is implemented with fidelity.. We expect students’ reading skills will improve dramatically as they fully participate in READ 180 and System 44.
