Professional Development Notes for 2012-2013

Professional Development Plan (sessions are listed for August training)

Form B Pre-Approval Professional Development Request
2. Crossett School District will provide 10 days of professional development, August 8-10; August 13-17, 2012; February 18, 2013; and March 29, 2013. All teachers are required to attend professional development provided by the Crossett School District unless prior approval is given to attend professional development outside of the district. Content areas approved for training held outside of the district are listed on Form B-Pre-Approval Professional Development Request.
3. Review Professional Development Plan for Crossett School District for August 8-10, August 13-17, February 18 and March 29. Select and list the sessions on Form A-Individual Planning Sheet that you will attend in the Crossett School District or list the approved professional development that you are substituting for a flex day.
a)
Make a copy to keep for yourself and turn in a copy to your Principal

Complete Form B, Professional Development Pre-Approval Form for each training that you are requesting to attend outside of the district and submit to your Principal.
a)
Attach a completed Travel Request Form (fees and mileage will be paid by the district for approved training)
b)
Make a copy of all forms for yourself and turn in a copy to your Principal for approval
5. Prior to August 8, 2012, CSD teachers will receive an updated professional development plan that will contain the building and room number for each session. This will also be available prior to August 8, 2012, on the district’s web site under the Curriculum link.
