E.A.G.L.E.S - Eager and Gifted Learners Enriched Studies

Welcome to the E.A.G.L.E.S. (Eager and Gifted Learners Enriched Studies) webpage on the Crossett School District web-site.

The E.A.G.L.E.S. gifted program provides services for students spanning grades K-12 through Arkansas Department of Education approved options.  The program seeks to meet the needs of identified and successful learners through a variety of program opportunities.  The program seeks to:

  • Provide for educational needs of each identified student.
  • Establish a positive relationship, bridging the gifted and talented program with the existing regular classroom.
  • Expose students to areas of study beyond those offered in the regular classroom.
  • Provide a learning environment that promotes individualized opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop an affective curriculum to insure sound social and emotional development.

To be considered for program placement a student must be nominated by a Teacher/Administrator, Parent, or self nominated. To nominate someone for the gifted program please complete our form. Once nominated, the selection process will include the gathering of information to include standardized test scores and the administration of creativity tests, reasoning exam, and gifted achievement measures. Additional information is also collected from teachers and parents. Auditions, interviews, projects and portfolios may also be reviewed. Final decisions made by a selection committe of School personnel.
